Our First School!
This week we began a tour of the SCHOOLS that we’ll be helping. Kwe Kha Baung School is the one we’ll be coming alongside first (pronounced Quake-a-bo).
While many of the schools are on the outskirts of town or in the countryside, this one is right in the heart of Mae Sot…in the busy, crowded market area. Kwe Kha Baung also doubles as a BOARDING HOUSE for 135 students. One word describes this school well…CONCRETE. No grass, no fresh, country air, very little room to run around and play.
While installing a WATER purification system is a crucial priority, so much MORE needs to be done. When we met with the headmaster of the school, he bemoaned the fact that this is not an environment for children in which to grow up…but what else can he do?
His DREAM is to move the school to the countryside but that’s an expensive venture far beyond his reach. Ryan Detwiller has created a video tour and so we INVITE YOU to come along with us as we move through the different areas of this school.
Join us as we take you inside a school we doubt you’ll soon be able to forget.

Cute spread for thanksgiving. Ira is thankful for such a wonderful sister, bother-in-law, nieces, and nephew who have the courage to leave the comfort of Canada behind in order to live out true religion that God calls pure and faultless – to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27)
Hey
how you guys doing I’m doing well yesturday i went to Katrina’s baby shower and it was so fun i got to see Samual Jordan and he is so cute only 2 and really likes balls and likes to follow people. i don’t know if you heard but lorne broke both of his hands and just got his casts off a few days ago. Any ways how was your first day of home schooling. I really can’t wait to see you guys in march i really miss you all and really excited to see how much Issac has grown over the last few months. This morning cami went to the dentist to get some fillings and i don’t know if she survived because this morning she looked scared and worried and sad all at the same time well we were all telling her it doesn’t hurt. We got our tickets and that made us all really excited because we get to see you in like four months I’ve been counting. tomorrow the people who are going to thailand are having a meeting at our house and talking about what we could do to help in thailand well were not there like some of our ideas or your ideas i don’t know who thought of them were raise enough money so you can take some kids on a feel trip then a few days later take some more and just keep going or raise enough money so we can send enough money to send 5 soccer balls to every few schools. Well bye class is almost over and want to get a little bit more work done
BYE see you in 4 months
